SmarTrack Series Elite have taken another difficult decision to not race at this weekends Convoy in The Park meeting at Donington.

After weeks of specialist software and electronics rectifications by Hadfield Services on the Series Elite Jaguar Project 8 race cars, testing yesterday proved successful. However, the afternoon session resulted in new problems, this time with overheating brakes.

“We are confident we can fix the issues but to be on the safe side we need to carry out more testing and development “ said Series Founder Graeme Glew.

Hadfield Services seem to have  cured all the electronics faults on all the cars and they were tested yesterday by Vic Lee, Jamie Wall and Paul White without any problems. It was not until the drivers  started pushing the cars in the afternoon that the brake issue became apparent which left Series Elite no alternative than to withdraw from the event.

Glew went on to say, “ We were looking forward to this one as we had five drivers lined up and the times yesterday looked as we would have had some exciting  races again. We will do some more testing and hopefully we can end on a high at our last two events – Snetterton next month and Portimao in October.”
