Series Elite management continue to develop this new concept in motor racing, with a strategic move of lowering the entry age for competitors to 40 years old. A recent driver development test in Silverstone which introduced prospective drivers to the the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 car resulted in additional confirmed orders, following the Series Elite launch earlier in the year. A final introduction test day for 2018 takes place in Silverstone on Saturday December 1st to cater for further interest from potential Series Elite drivers, with a limited number of places currently available.
Series Elite Founder, Graeme Glew, comments, “Our new series is cementing its introduction with today’s announcement of the inaugural calendar. Launching a completely new concept for motorsport has inevitably led us to finetune some of the parameters and as plans have evolved, we’ve taken some key decisions to ensure the success of Series Elite. The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 car and a grid of drivers aged 40+ will bring a new dimension to the motor racing offering for amateur drivers. The fast-filling order book and the popularity of our test days is setting us up for a full grid at Brands Hatch. We’re looking forward to getting on track in 2019.”
